* The increased number of new cases in the past few days may have been affected by backlog issues at UK Government laboratories over the weekend. The backlog has reduced but is also likely to have affected today’s figures. This explains what I have been commenting on for the last few days.
In total including repeat tests 1464 were +ve – a 7.5% rate
8826 newly tested individuals reported (⇩14%) – by far and away the most newly tested individuals I’ve seen, but bear in mind the backlog.

Comment:
All the graphs are weird today and I’m going to refrain from commenting on them because hopefully the numbers will calm down over the next few days.
