Daily data for 21st Dec 2020

1504* new +ve tests (⇧61%)
28051* new tests reporting (⇧34%)

This is 5.4% positive percentage rate – still very very LOW

* The increased number of new cases today (when compared with 934 reported yesterday) may have been affected by backlog issues at UK Government laboratories over the weekend. This explains what I have been commenting on for the last few days.

In total including repeat tests 1696 were +ve – a 6.0% rate

10272 newly tested individuals reported (⇧65%) – by far and away the most newly tested individuals I’ve seen, but bear in mind the backlog.

Local data:

    • Greater Glasgow and Clyde 366,
    • Lothian 277,
    • Lanarkshire 239,
    • Tayside 136,
    • Grampian 144,
    • Ayrshire and Arran 106,
    • Fife 81,
    • Forth Valley 86,
    • Three island boards 1*

*Notice how in the Island Boards there is just always the odd case? To me, this is very convincing evidence that they are false positives. There is no spread at all. Ever.

0 new reported deaths in those who have tested +ve (⇩3)
59 people in ITU with recently +ve test (⇧1)

1078 come through hospital with a recently positive test – through the 14 days prior to admission or having tested positive in hospital the last 28 days (⇧1.6%)

Comment:
All the graphs are weird today and I’m going to refrain from commenting on them because hopefully the numbers will calm down over the next few days. I have no idea what to make of them!

I’m away to a Solstice Bonfire 🔥 to welcome the Great Conjunction 🎇. I think you lot probably know I try to be very rational and I’m all about the numbers and the physics and the research. I’m not much of a believer in Astrology. However, I’m told the Great Conjunction will bring about change for the better. I hope so. I’m prepared to pin some hope on it at least. Last night we were on a farm under a brilliant sky and we saw Jupiter and Saturn very close together in a gap in some cloud and very beautiful it was too.

Tweet and share the graphs!

Lots of love this Winter Solstice. ❤

Stay sane – Stay strong 💪
